Artist: Verónica Maldonado Agustín

The design began with a hand-painted drawing using a natural dye obtained from tree bark. The completion of the process takes several days and is sometimes shared among artisans. Once the main outlines of the symbols are defined, the artisan starts working on the selected areas of the design using various techniques and creating contrasting color combinations. Each weaving carries unique characteristics that symbolize and represent the inner world of the artisan. This weaving is a tribute to the sacred and healing forces of nature existing in the Peruvian tradition, as well as a homage to the world of beautiful design.
